| Bioiks has three clean rooms with 1.800 m2 of total 5.000 m2 production area. Production of biomedical products is different from classic production of shoes, clothing or cars. We can compare it to a production of pharmaceuticals or biopharmaceutical products. All these types of production have one thing in common: they took place in CLEAN ROOMS. Our products, lines and accessories for dialysis, are used at kidney failure patient treatment. Dialysis patients are connected to a machine almost every second day, where blood is flown through plastic tubes from 3 to 5 hours. Every dirt or other kind of contamination, organic or inorganic, can reduce the effectiveness of dialysis, cause infections and even threaten the patient’s life. The most important is a requirement for microbiological purity or the absence of microorganisms.
Clean room is area where number of particles in the air, temperature, relative air humidity, air flow within a room, the pressure difference between clean room and the external environment and microbiological burden of space are strictly controlled.
Much attention is given to the selection of appropriate construction materials for walls and floors, maintenance and cleaning of clean rooms and adequate design of production equipment, since this may not be the source of particles. Especially strictly prescribed are movement and clothing of the employees, because we know, that people are one of the major sources of particles and microbiological burden of the clean rooms. |
