In 1912 dr. Eduard Fresenius in Frankfurt opened a production of pharmaceuticals which in 1966 extended its activities to sales of dialysis machines and dialyzers and gained substantial market share. In 1996 the company was founded by merging Fresenius Worlwide Dialysis and National Medical Care and was put in the stock market. In 2006 the company bought Renal Care Group, Inc. and became the biggest manufacturer of dialysis machines and products in the world. In 2007 they produced its 500 milionth dialyzer. Today Fresenius Medical Care is the american company and one of the biggest worlwide renal therapy manufacturer. |
